HOME MADE FRENCH FRIES WITH SOUTH INDIAN SPICES
INGREDIENTS
- POTATOES - 2 MEDIUM
- OIL - 1 CUP
- GARAM MASLA - 1/2 spoon
- CHILLY POWDER - 1/4 "
- GARLIC POWDER - 1/4 "
- SALT
PREPARATION METHOD
- CUT THE POTATOES TO EQUAL SMALL SLICES (1 cm thick or 1/4 inch x 1/4 inch x 2½ to 3 inches.)
- SOCK THE SLICED POTATOES IN THE COLD WATER (30 min)
- AFTER THAT SOCK THE POTATOES IN THE WARM WATER JUST 30 MIN
- DRAIN THE SLICED POTATOES AND DRY WITH A PAPER TOWEL OR CLEANED KITCHEN TOWEL
- HEAT THE OIL AND FRY THE POTATOES JUST 5 MIN (DON'T OVER COOK)
- DRAIN AND COOL HALF COOKED POTATOES
- THEN AGAIN HEAT THE OIL AND FRY THE HALF COOKED POTATO SLICES UNTIL IT BECOME GOLDEN COLOUR
- THE NEXT STEP IS TO ADD THE SPICES AND SALT TO THE FRIES
- ADD GARAM MASALA , CHILLY POWDER , GARLIC POWDER AND SALT MIX WELL
- IT IS VERY TASTE WITH TOMATO SAUCE AND MAYONNAISE :)
